At this time, I must share about cold and flu season since the cold tried to get me.
Hydroptherapy - this is the key word of the hour.
I started to feel tired. My eyes were burning. My throat started tickling and then hurting. My ears were echoing every heart beat. What to do?
Hot and cold water - that's the idea behind hydrotherapy.
There are two ways to go about this. One is with a footbath. The other is without.
With a footbath: Set the water to hot and have boiling water at the ready. Sink your feet into the hot water with an ICE cold washcloth on the back of your neck (ice cold means out of the freezer!). Keep adding boiling water. Your toes should be bright and pink. Keep adding hot water and rotating colder and colder ice wash cloths for 15 minutes!
Without footbath: Take a few washcloths soaked in water and wrung out tightly. Keep some in the freezer. The others, pour boiling hot water over. Hot water wash cloth over the nose and sinuses for 3 minutes followed by an ice cold wash cloth for 1 minute. Repeat rotation 4-5 times.

Hot and cold water rotations increase ciculation in the body. Don't think for a moment that cold or heat protect or increase your chances of getting a cold. Manipulate these forces to increase your chances of maintaining health.
Drink water, herbal teas, and lemon juice (from fresh squeezed lemons).
If you choose zinc lozenges make sure that sugar and sucrose are not in the ingredients as sugar keeps your immune system from operating optimally.

Be well.
